In winter, you ride with it closed, using the chin guard, nose guard, and winter Stop Wind; in summer, you remove the chin guard, install the covers, and it becomes a full-fledged jet helmet—legally, because the P/J dual homologation covers both configurations, and the helmet weight drops from 1,340 to 1,070 grams. The parts to do this are already in the box.
