Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between ECE 22.06 and 22.05 approval?
22.06 is the most recent version of the regulation and includes additional tests for oblique impacts, rotational protection, and use with glasses or intercoms. An ECE 22.05 helmet placed on the market before January 2024 remains legally usable; but from 2024 it can no longer be sold as new.
How often should a helmet be replaced?
Manufacturers recommend 5-7 years from the date of manufacture, even without falls. Internal materials (polystyrene and padding) lose their absorption capacity over time. After a significant impact, the helmet should be replaced immediately, even if there are no visible external damages.
Can I try on the helmet before buying it?
Yes, in our store in Cercola (NA) you can try on the size without obligation. The helmet should fit snugly without hurting: wear it for a few minutes, move around, and assess if there are any pressure points. Online, we recommend measuring your head circumference and comparing it with the size chart.
