Can it be used open like a jet helmet?
Yes. The X26 Square has double P/J homologation according to the ECE 22.06 standard: you can ride with the chin guard closed, like a full-face helmet, or with the chin guard raised, like a jet helmet. On the highway and during long trips, it is better to keep it closed to keep your chin protected.
Is the Pinlock lens included?
Yes. Givi states the scratch-resistant visor is prepared for a Pinlock anti-fog lens, and the Pinlock 30 lens is included in the package. It mounts inside the visor and reduces fogging in cold and rainy conditions. The spare lens code is Givi Z2399R.
What size should I choose?
Givi indicates the following for the X26: XS 54 cm, S 56, M 58, L 60, XL 61, and XXL 63. Measure your head circumference with a tape measure, one finger above your eyebrows, and choose the closest size. If you are between two sizes, contact us before ordering and we will help you.
Can a dark visor be installed?
Yes. Givi offers the 75% smoked visor Z2715FR and mirrored visors Z2715AR, Z2715IR, Z2715YR, Z2715GR, and Z2715BR for the X26. Dark visors are for bright sun: in low light and at night, you must use the clear one, which is spare part Z2715TR.
How much does it weigh?
Givi declares 1,600 or 1,650 grams depending on the shell size, with a 50-gram tolerance. This is standard weight for a thermoplastic modular helmet with an internal sun visor and double homologation. The package we ship, including helmet and box, weighs approximately 2.10 kilos.
