Side Panels for Scooters and Motorcycles
The side panels are the side panels of the rear bodywork: they chip at the first fall and crack at the fasteners after a few seasons. In this section, you will find original Piaggio right and left side panels for Beverly, X9, Hexagon, Skipper, and Free, with the spare part code and color code always clearly visible, as well as an unpainted raw version. Moon Bike S.r.l. is an authorized Piaggio Group dealer.
Scooter side panels: guide, tips, and FAQs
Strengths
- Only original Piaggio spare parts — mold, thickness, and attachment points identical to the original equipment
- Color code always declared — Grigio 708, Rosso Saturno 996, Blu Cobalto 251, Grigio Perla 692, and other catalog codes
- Right and left separate — you only buy the side you need, without paying for the pair
- Also the paintable version — code 5760045 comes unpainted, for those with an out-of-production color
- Code assistance — if you can't find your color, we'll look it up in the official catalog with the chassis number
How to choose the right side panel
- The side — right and left are considered from the saddle, looking towards the front wheel
- The color code — it's the Piaggio number (e.g., 996, 251, 692), not the commercial name: two similar colors have different codes, and it's visible in direct light
- The vehicle's year — on the same model, Piaggio changed the mold several times, for example, between Hexagon 1994-1997 and Super Hexagon
- The position — an upper rear side panel is different from a full rear side panel
- The original code — if you read it stamped inside the old piece, it's the surest way not to make a mistake
Covered models
- Beverly — 125, 200, 250, 400 ie Tourer, 500, and BV 200
- X9 — 125, 180, 200, 250, and 500
- Hexagon — 125 and 150 (1994-1997), Super Hexagon GT/GTX/LX/LXT 125/180/250
- Skipper — 125 and 150 4T (1998-2005)
- Free — Free 100, Free FL, and Free FL 50
Important notes
- The side panel comes painted in the indicated color, but on a twenty-year-old vehicle, the original color is faded by the sun: a tone difference compared to the rest of the bodywork is normal and not a defect of the spare part.
- Screws, rubber grommets, and fastening clips are not included unless otherwise specified on the product sheet: if the old ones are stripped, order them separately.
- Many of these colors have been out of production for years, and the pieces are single units: once exhausted, they will not be restocked.
Who is it perfect for?
For those who keep a ten, twenty, or thirty-year-old Piaggio scooter on the road and don't want to send it to the body shop for a chipped panel. This is also the right section for workshops that refurbish used vehicles for resale and need the part in the correct color, and for those restoring an Hexagon or a Free who are looking for now-unavailable body parts. If you can't find your color, contact us for more information.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if I need the right or left side panel?
Right and left are always understood from the perspective of someone sitting on the saddle and looking forward. If you scraped the side of the side stand, on a Piaggio scooter, it's the left. When in doubt, the code stamped inside the damaged piece removes all ambiguity.
Where can I find the color code on my scooter?
It is usually on an adhesive label under the seat or in the helmet compartment, along with the chassis number. It contains a three-digit number, sometimes with a letter. That is the important data: the commercial name of the color can be the same for different codes.
Will a Beverly 125 side panel fit a Beverly 250?
Often yes, because Piaggio shares bodywork among displacements of the same generation: several codes are indeed declared for 125, 200, and 250 together. But it's not always true, and the 400 and 500 have their own panels. Check the models listed on the product sheet before ordering.
Can I have an unpainted side panel painted in my color?
Yes, and it's the right way to go when your color is out of production. Code 5760045 was created precisely for this purpose. Take the Piaggio color code of the vehicle to the body shop: with that, they can prepare the color without having to match it by eye from the old piece.
I can't find my color in the showcase: can you look for it?
Yes. Only a portion of what's available is in the showcase, and there are hundreds of codes for these models. Write us the model, year, chassis number, and color code: we'll check the official Piaggio catalog and tell you if the part still exists, the price, and the lead time. Contact us for more information.
