Motorcycle and Scooter Mounting Kit
The mounting kit is the part that connects the accessory to the motorcycle: without it, the windshield, luggage rack, or Tool Box remain in the box. Here you will find complete kits with plates, brackets, spacers, and fasteners — not just replacement bolts. There are 23 active items in our catalog: mounting kits for Kappa windshields and fairings, mounting kits for luggage racks, universal and specific kits for the KS250 Tool Box, and Givi spoiler kits.
Mounting Kit: guide, tips, and frequently asked questions
Universal or specific?
The universal kit covers an entire family of frames — for example, the KS250KIT fits all Kappa KL and KLR luggage racks. The specific kit (KTL series for the Tool Box, A series for windshields) is designed for a single model or a single luggage rack: where available, it is always preferable because it does not require adjustments.
Mounting kits and fastener kits are not the same thing
The mounting kit contains the brackets and plates, as well as the screws. The fastener kit (codes ending in KITR) is only the replacement hardware for a mount you already have: it is for when you have lost a screw, not for mounting from scratch.
Frequently asked questions
Is the accessory included in the kit?
No. The mounting kit is sold separately from the windshield, top case, or Tool Box: on the page for each kit, you will find the code of the accessory it is intended to be paired with.
How do I know which kit I need?
It depends on two things: the motorcycle model and year, and the code of the frame or luggage rack already installed. If you have any doubts, write to us with both and we will check the official catalog.
Can I use a kit from another motorcycle?
No. The brackets are bent to fit the geometry of a precise frame: a kit from another model will not align the holes and will force you to use pressure, with the risk that the accessory will perform poorly while riding.
Are the fasteners included?
Yes, in mounting kits, the fasteners are always included. If you only need replacement bolts, search for the fastener kit for your mount instead.
Do I need a workshop to install it?
Almost always no: the kits are designed for installation with common tools and the instructions are in the box. However, the tightening torques indicated by the manufacturer must be respected, especially on luggage racks.
