Who is it perfect for?
The Laminar Dark Grey is the choice for those who want an urban jet helmet with a neutral look, less conspicuous than white and less absolute than black. It is aimed at those who ride in the city every day, make frequent stops, and appreciate a helmet that is lightweight to put on and take off quickly thanks to the quick-release strap. The removable liners help keep it tidy over time, while the availability in three shell sizes covers a wide range of circumferences, from the 54 cm XS to the 64 cm XXXL, making it suitable even for those with non-standard sizes.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Laminar's EIRT shell?
EIRT stands for Energy Impact Resistant Thermoplastic, the thermoplastic that SMK uses for the outer shell of the Laminar. It is a material chosen to resist impacts and distribute impact energy, and on the Laminar, it works together with the internal multi-density EPS layer that completes the absorption system.
Does the Laminar have an internal sun visor or Pinlock readiness?
No. On the official SMK Laminar spec sheet, there is no mention of either a retractable sun visor or readiness for Pinlock anti-fog lenses. We are noting this to avoid false expectations: the visor equipment is limited to the long anti-scratch visor provided as standard, with the short goggle-style visor as an alternative.
How do I keep the inside of the helmet clean?
The padding is completely removable and washable, made of breathable and hypoallergenic fabric with an antibacterial treatment. You can therefore remove it and wash it periodically by following the instructions provided with the helmet, so as to keep the interior hygienic even with daily use.
What is the difference between this jet helmet and a full-face helmet?
A jet helmet like the Laminar leaves the face exposed and has no chin bar, so it does not protect the chin area; in exchange, it offers more air, more lightness, and a very wide field of vision. A full-face helmet also covers the chin and provides more protection, but it is generally more enclosed, warmer, and heavier.
Which size should I choose if my measurement is between two values?
The SMK table associates a precise circumference with each size: 54 cm for XS, 55 for S, 57 for M, 59 for L, 61 for XL, 62 for XXL, and 64 for XXXL. If your measurement falls between two values, write to us before purchasing: we will help you choose based on the shape of your head.
