The Macna Takar is a cargo-style motorcycle jean with a tapered fit, which Macna describes as designed for city riders in hot weather. It is made from stretch cotton—a twill-structure fabric mixed with synthetic yarns and elastane—and reinforced internally with aramid fiber in critical areas, those that would be scraped first in a slide. The most immediate feature is the two large cargo pockets on the sides of the legs. Macna states that RISC™ Level 1 protectors are present at the knees and hips, and it includes Backonnect™ preparation, the zipper that connects the jeans to a Macna jacket. Under technical homologation, Macna lists EN 17092 and Class AA. Camel color: camel, a warm, ocher-leaning shade (Macna calls it "camel brown"), with two large cargo pockets on the thighs in the same color. 9 sizes: from 26 to 34, plus short inseam versions 28-30-32-34. Product code 165.4020.

Official Macna size chart, "Women's Jeans" section, reported in full and also converted to inches. The ✔ symbol indicates the sizes available in this listing; "✔ short" indicates those also available with a shorter inseam. Waist is measured at the navel, hips at the widest point of the pelvis, inseam between the crotch and ankle bone. Macna specifies that when measurements suggest different sizes, the larger one should be chosen. Macna publishes the short inseam from size 29 up (71 cm, compared to 76 cm for regular). The 28 Short version exists and we sell it, but for that size, Macna does not publish the inseam measurement: we do not invent it.
• The Backonnect™ zipper is not included: the jeans are prepared for it, but the zipper is a separate Macna accessory.
• Sources disagree on hip protectors: Macna states they are included and CE level 1 homologated, while an Italian retailer describes them as only prepared for. We report both statements; if this point is crucial, please ask us before ordering.
• Denim numbering is not the waist circumference in inches: the table above demonstrates this, size 28 has a waist of 74-77 cm.
• The aramid reinforcement is not visible from the outside: it is on the reverse side of the fabric, in the impact zones.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
What color is this version of the Macna Takar?
This is the Camel color, code 165.4020.707: camel, a warm, ocher-leaning shade (Macna calls it "camel brown"), with two large cargo pockets on the thighs in the same color. Each color is a separate listing, with its own article codes and barcodes, so the size you choose is always for the color you are viewing.
What does "EN 17092 Class AA" mean?
EN 17092 is the European standard for motorcycle protective clothing and includes five classes: AAA, AA, A, B, and C. AA is the second highest: above it is only the AAA for race suits. Under Technical Homologation on the Macna technical sheet, it states EN17092, Class AA, CE Level 1 knee protection, and CE level 1 hip protection.
Are the protectors included?
According to Macna, yes, at the knees and hips: the model description states that "our Level 1 RISC™ protectors are present at the knees and hips," and the technical sheet lists both Knee protection and Hip protection, with CE level 1 homologation for both. ⚠️ We note for accuracy that an Italian retailer describes the hips as only prepared for: if this point is crucial for you, please write to us before ordering and we will verify it on the garment we are about to ship to you.
What is aramid fiber and where is it located?
It is the high abrasion-resistant fiber used for reinforcement. Macna states that the critical areas, i.e., impact zones, are internally reinforced with aramid: the reinforcement is not visible from the outside; it is on the reverse side of the fabric. The supplier's composition data is 67% cotton, 30% polyamide, 2% other, 1% elastane.
What is Backonnect™?
It is the connection zipper developed by Macna that joins the jeans to the jacket, to prevent the jacket from riding up during riding and in case of a fall. The Takar is prepared for it: the Backonnect™ zipper is a separate accessory and is not included in this listing.
Are these jeans suitable for hot weather? Are they ventilated?
Macna classifies them for hot weather and answers "yes" for ventilation on the technical sheet. They are not perforated; breathability comes from the stretch cotton and the protectors, which Macna describes as "hollow-structured for breathability" (ventilated protection).
What is the difference from the men's version?
They are two distinct items with different codes: 165.4020 for women and 165.4018 for men, with different sizes (26-34 vs. 28-40) and a different cut. On the women's model page, Macna does not list the adjustable waist strap or the height-adjustable knee protection, which do appear on the men's technical sheet: we report what is written on the page for this model.
What size should I get?
Sizes follow denim sizing, which does not correspond to waist measurements in centimeters: measure yourself and compare with the table above, given in centimeters and inches, and if you fall between two sizes, take the larger one, as Macna advises. Macna offers a short inseam from size 29 upwards (71 cm, compared to the regular 76 cm). The 28 Short version exists and we sell it, but for that size, Macna does not provide the inseam measurement: we do not invent it.
Is this an original Macna product?
Yes. Moon Bike S.r.l. is an authorized Macna dealer: this Takar is an original, new, and unworn item, provided with an invoice and legal warranty. We ship from Cercola, in the province of Naples, with appropriate packaging for the garment.
