Frequently Asked Questions
❓ Is it a motorcycle hoodie with protection?
Yes. The cotton is reinforced with aramid fiber in critical areas, and the hoodie is equipped with R.I.S.C.™ CE level 1 certified protectors on the shoulders and elbows. The back protector is not included: inside there is a dedicated compartment for the R.I.S.C.™ FB or CB, which can be purchased separately.
❓ What approval does Macna declare for this garment?
On the technical data sheet for the District Lady, Macna declares CE level 1 protectors on the shoulders and CE level 1 on the elbows. The EN 17092 class, which Macna reports on the men's version of the same model, does not appear on the data sheet for the women's version.
❓ Is the hood removable?
Yes. It is attached to the outer shell with a zip and can be completely removed at any time. If you prefer to keep it, it can be secured to the back with the Hoodie Holder™ to prevent flapping while riding, while the drawstrings are held in place at the front with the Hoodie String Holders™.
❓ How do I choose the right size?
Measure your chest at its widest point with your arms at your sides and your waist at navel height, over a light t-shirt. On this page, you will find the complete Macna women's size chart, in centimeters and inches. If you are between two sizes, Macna recommends choosing the larger one.
❓ What are Belt Loop™ and Zip Grip™ for?
The Belt Loop™ is a sturdy strap that runs from the collar to the lower back and attaches to your jeans belt: it prevents the hoodie from riding up in case of an accident. The Zip Grip™ is the triangular reinforcement at the base of the zip, for inserting and closing it even with gloves on.
