The Kappa KRA692 is a rear rack in anodized aluminum for MONOKEY® top cases, specific for the 2004-2012 generation BMW R 1200 GS. It is compatible with original BMW side cases, so it completes the set without sacrificing anything.
⚠️ Years: read here before ordering. Kappa indicates the R 1200 GS from 2004 to 2012 as the model, but in the same description adds the clarification "compatible from '07 to '12". The two indications do not match, and the same ambiguity is found on the corresponding Givi, which some retailers list as 2004-2012 and others as 2007-2012.
In practice: if your GS is from 2007 onwards, you're fine. If it's from 2004, 2005, or 2006, please write to us before purchasing: we'll check your frame together, so you don't risk a return.

Who it's perfect for
For those who keep a 2004-2012 air-cooled R 1200 GS on the road and want to complete it with a top case without removing the original side cases. Anodized aluminum is not affected by seasons: on a motorcycle of this age, it's the choice that lasts.
🛡️ The Moon Bike guarantee
Original Kappa Moto item, new and packaged. Tracked shipping from Italy, assistance in Italian before and after purchase. For 2004-2006 models, we prefer to tell you beforehand: write to us with the exact year and we'll check it.
Frequently asked questions
I have a 2005 R 1200 GS: will it fit?
You need to write to us here. Kappa indicates the model from 2004, but then specifies "compatible from '07 to '12": for 2004-2006 models, we prefer to check together rather than risk a return.
What if it's a 2009 model?
No problem: from 2007 to 2012, compatibility is confirmed by both Kappa indications.
Can I keep the original side cases?
Yes. Kappa explicitly declares compatibility with original BMW side cases.
Does it fit the GS Adventure?
The Kappa block indicates the R 1200 GS. For the Adventure, write to us and we will provide you with the correct code.
What is the Givi equivalent?
The corresponding item in the Givi range is code SRA692: the aluminum line is designated SRA, not SR.
