Frequently Asked Questions
Difference between KLO1179MK and KLO1178MK?
The KLO1179MK is an independent frame (does not require the original luggage rack) and can be converted to rapid-release with the 01RKITK kit; the KLO1178MK, on the other hand, mounts on the original luggage rack. Both are for Africa Twin (2020-2023) and MONOKEY® cases.
What cases does it fit?
It is configured for MONOKEY® cases (the KLO1179CAM version is for Cam-Side). Cases are not included.
Is it really rapid-release?
It is basically a fixed frame; it becomes rapid-release by combining it with the optional 01RKITK kit, which allows the frame to be removed without tools.
Can I leave it mounted without cases?
Yes, the frame can remain installed even when the cases are not attached.
