The Kappa KN5108 is the specific tubular engine guard for the BMW R 1200 GS liquid-cooled (2013-2018) and for the R 1200 R and R 1200 RS (2015-2018). Made of black painted Ø 25 mm tubular steel, it protects the boxer heads, crankcases, and side panels: on the BMW twin-cylinder, the heads protrude, and in a side fall, they are the first thing to make contact.

The Kappa catalog specifies that the KN5108:
• on the R 1200 GS from 2016 onwards must be combined with the KN5108KIT;
• on the R 1200 R and R 1200 RS must be combined with the KN5108KIT.
On the R 1200 GS 2013-2015, the kit is not required. If you have any doubts about your model, please write to us before ordering: we will confirm it for you.
The Kappa catalog specifies that the KN5108:
• on the R 1200 GS from 2016 onwards must be combined with the KN5108KIT;

On the BMW twin-cylinder, the heads are the most exposed part of the motorcycle: a wrong maneuver in a parking lot or a foot slipping on an uneven surface is enough.
