Frequently asked questions

What approval does it have?
The 80.1 Apex is ECE 22.06 approved as a full-face helmet: the chin guard is fixed and protects the face, so it is suitable for city use, highways, and travel. In the Givi 2026 catalog, it is listed as an enduro helmet with a peak. This is the European standard currently in force for helmets sold today.

Is the Pinlock lens included?
Yes. Givi specifies that the anti-scratch visor is prepared for the Pinlock anti-fog lens, and the Pinlock 70 Max Vision lens is included in the package. It mounts inside the visor and reduces fogging in cold and rainy conditions. The replacement lens code is Givi Z1843R.

What size should I choose?
For the 80.1, Givi indicates XS 54 cm, S 56, M 58, L 60, XL 61, and XXL 63. Measure your head circumference with a tailor's tape, one finger above your eyebrows, and choose the closest size. If you are between two sizes, write to us before ordering and we will assist you.

Can a dark visor be installed?
Yes. Givi offers the 75% smoked visor Z1367FR for the 80.1, to be installed in place of the clear one on sunny days. Dark visors are for strong sun: in low light and at night, use the clear one, which remains the Z1367TR spare part.

How much does it weigh?
Givi specifies 1,450 grams, with a 50-gram tolerance. This is the weight of a fiberglass full-face helmet with an internal sun visor. The package we ship, including the helmet and box, weighs about 1.90 kg. The internal sun visor eliminates the need to wear sunglasses under the helmet.

Are spare parts available?
Yes, the 80.1 is in the 2026 Givi catalog with its spare parts: clear visor Z1367TR, smoked visor Z1367FR, sun visor Z1385FR, visor mechanism kit Z1433R, extractor Z1431N900R, chin curtain Z1447R, peak screws Z1395R, and interior liners from Z145254R to Z145263R. Before ordering, we will verify with you that the code is correct.
