Leather motorcycle suits are the garment of choice when riding on the track or driving hard on the road: a single piece, or two pieces that zip together at the waist, with protectors already inside and leather that works in the event of a slide. One-piece or two-piece?
A one-piece suit (1pc) does not have a waist zipper: it is the choice for the track, because there is nothing that can open and the back remains covered even in a very loaded riding position. A two-piece suit (2pc) separates into a jacket and trousers and can also be used only in halves: what it gains in versatility, it costs in comfort. Both types are available in the catalog.
EN 17092 classes
EN 17092 is the European standard for protective motorcycle clothing and provides for five classes: AAA, AA, A, B, and C. AAA is the highest. The class is a characteristic of the garment, not the protectors: the protectors have their own separate marking, level 1 or 2. On each product sheet, we report the class declared by the suit manufacturer, when it is declared.
How to take your size
A suit should be worn snugly: this is how the protectors stay where they should be. Measure chest and waist on the torso, hips at the widest point of the pelvis, and inseam from crotch to ankle, with the tape measure snug over a light garment. Each product sheet reports the official manufacturer's size chart in centimeters and inches.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a 1pc and 2pc suit?
The 1pc is a one-piece suit without a waist zipper, designed for the track. The 2pc separates into a jacket and trousers and can also be worn separately. For the same model, the 1pc is more rigid to wear, the 2pc is more comfortable for everyday use.
Are protectors included?
It depends on the model. Almost all suits come with shoulder, elbow, and knee protectors already installed; back protectors and chest protectors are often only pre-fitted and must be purchased separately. On each product sheet, we specify exactly what is included and what is not.
What does Class AA mean?
It is the second highest class of the EN 17092 standard, below AAA. It indicates the level of abrasion, tear, and seam resistance measured on the finished garment. It is declared by the manufacturer: where it is not declared, we do not write it.
Is a suit also necessary for the road?
It is not mandatory, but on a sports motorcycle, it is the garment that covers the most. Many choose the 2pc precisely to be able to use the jacket alone for short trips and put on the trousers when going to the track.
Are perforated leather suits cooler?
Perforation allows air to pass through when moving and significantly lowers the perceived temperature compared to solid leather. In return, it does not protect from water and is cold on the highway in winter. On the product sheets, we indicate when the leather is perforated.
How do you care for the leather of a suit?
Keep it away from direct heat sources, let it air dry if it gets wet, and treat it occasionally with a specific leather product. The real washing instructions are those on the garment's label: they are more valuable than any general advice.
Do you also make children's sizes?
Yes. In the catalog, there are junior suits with sizes expressed in centimeters of height (for example 122, 134, 152), not with adult numbering. The table is on the individual model's product sheet.
