The Kappa KN1144 is the specific tubular engine guard for the Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin (2016-2019) with manual transmission. Made of black painted Ø 25 mm tubular steel, it protects the engine and crankcases in case of a fall or slide, both on-road and off-road. An original Kappa Moto accessory (Givi group, equivalent to Givi TN1144).
⚠️ Read before ordering – manual transmission only:
• NOT compatible with the CRF1000L Africa Twin DCT version (Dual Clutch Automatic Transmission). If yours is a DCT, you need code KN1162.
• It is recommended to have the installation performed by a qualified mechanic for correct tightening and alignment with the frame.

Is it suitable for my Africa Twin?
Yes, if it's a CRF1000L from 2016 to 2019 with manual transmission. It is not suitable for the DCT version.
What if I have the DCT version?
You need code KN1162, the version of this same engine guard dedicated to the Africa Twin DCT.
How do I know if I have the DCT?
The DCT does not have a clutch lever on the handlebar or a gear pedal: it has +/− buttons on the left switch block.
Is it the same as the Givi TN1144?
Yes: Kappa and Givi are the same group, the TN1144 is the Givi equivalent of this engine guard.
Does it include mounting hardware?
Yes, the dedicated mounting hardware kit is included in the package.
Can I install it myself?
Kappa recommends installation by a qualified mechanic: the engine guard anchors to the frame and must be tightened and aligned correctly.
Does it also protect the radiator?
The KN1144 protects the lower engine area. For the upper area at the sides of the radiator, the KNH1144 is added, which only mounts in conjunction with this one.
