What is the Tanklock flange?
A steel or aluminum plate that is mounted on the motorcycle's fuel cap, replacing the stock cap screws. The tank bag is then attached to the flange with a quick snap-on system. Each motorcycle has its specific flange: look for it on Kappa/Givi with the motorcycle's code.
Does a magnetic bag damage the tank?
On steel tanks, it does not cause damage: the magnets are covered with soft fabric. However, it will damage the tank if dust or sand remains under the bag: micro-scratches will form with rubbing. Clean the tank and the base of the bag thoroughly before each installation.
Do soft side bags hold weight?
Quality ones do, up to 8-10 kg per side as declared by the manufacturer. They are fastened with straps that pass under the seat or around the tail. It is very important that they stay away from hot exhausts: many models have dedicated heat-resistant inserts, check the product description.
