Frequently Asked Questions
Which intercoms is it compatible with?
Cardo declares the set compatible with Packtalk Pro, Packtalk Edge, Packtalk Neo, Freecom 2X, Freecom 4X, Spirit, and Spirit HD. For models other than these, compatibility is not indicated by Cardo: before ordering, contact us for more information by providing the model name of your device, and we will check together.
What does the package contain?
According to Cardo, the kit contains a pair of 45mm Sound by JBL speakers, two speaker covers, and velcro pads for fixing them into the helmet. The microphone, the support, and the intercom unit are not included: the set only replaces the audio part of the system you already have mounted on your helmet.
What is the accompanying software?
Cardo presents this set as speakers with Sound by JBL software included: the packaging reads «Speakers & Upgraded Software». In practice, the 45mm speakers are designed to work with dedicated audio software. For the procedure on your device, please contact us for more information before installation.
Can I mount them instead of the 40mm speakers?
On the devices declared by Cardo, they are the intended upgrade, but they have a larger diameter: the helmet recesses must have enough space to accommodate them without pressing on your ears. If you have a helmet with a tight fit, let us know the make and model before ordering and we will give you our opinion.
Is the microphone included?
No. The SPAU0010 set only includes the audio part: the pair of 45mm speakers, two speaker covers, and velcro pads. The microphone remains the one already connected to your intercom. If you also need a new microphone, contact us for more information and we will point you to the correct original Cardo spare part.
Is it an original Cardo accessory?
Yes. The SPAU0010 set is an original Cardo Systems accessory, new, in the Cardo box with the Sound by JBL branding. Moon Bike S.r.l. ships it from Italy with an invoice and 2-year warranty. If you would like advice on the best upgrade for your helmet, please contact us for further information.
