Important Notes
- Cardo DMC ↔ Cardo DMC = full mesh. Cardo ↔ other brand = only universal Bluetooth with reduced functions.
- Check helmet compatibility: if the helmet does not have internal compartments for speakers and microphone routing, installation is more complex (it can be done, but needs to be assessed).
- Software updates are done via the Cardo Connect app (iOS/Android): keep firmware updated for new features.

Are Cardo Spirit and Packtalk compatible?
Yes, via Bluetooth (basic functions: phone + communication), but the DMC mesh (self-healing network supporting up to 15 users) only works between devices that support it — Packtalk Edge, Pro, Custom, Freecom 4X (in Live Group Chat mode). The Spirit HD does not have DMC.
Does the Packtalk Edge connect with an Interphone or Sena?
Yes, via universal Bluetooth, phone and chat functions work with any other intercom. Advanced features (mesh, JBL audio) remain active only between Cardo devices. If your travel companion has a Sena, the basic connection works; if everyone in the group has Cardo, the quality and stability of the network are significantly superior.
Does the Cardo Packtalk Pro really detect an accident?
Yes. The Packtalk Pro has a sensor that detects falls and severe impacts: if the rider does not respond to a voice reminder within a few seconds, it automatically sends GPS coordinates and a message to emergency contacts previously set up in the Cardo Connect app. This feature is particularly useful for those who often ride alone on less-trafficked roads.
