Frequently Asked Questions

What is its approval?
The Aviator Ace 2 Shield is ECE 22.06 approved, as stated by Airoh in the technical datasheet, meaning it can be used for both off-road and on-road. The approval code and number can be found on the label sewn onto the chin strap. It features a double D-ring closure and removable interiors for washing.

What material is it made of and how much does it weigh?
The shell is made of composite carbon, which Airoh calls Composite Carbon, and it weighs 1,250 grams, with a tolerance of ±50 g. Airoh produces it in two outer shell sizes: the first for XS, S, and M, and the second for L and XL. This ensures the helmet remains proportionate to the head even in smaller sizes.

Which size should I choose?
Measure your head circumference one centimeter above your eyebrows. In the Airoh Aviator Ace 2 guide, XS is 53-54 cm, S is 55-56 cm, M is 57-58 cm, L is 59-60 cm, and XL is 61 cm: the range stops there. If you are between two sizes, please message us before ordering.

What is in the box?
In addition to the helmet, Airoh includes peak screws and a removable nose guard. The helmet does not have a visor: it must be used with off-road goggles, which are not included and must be purchased separately. The inner lining is removable and washable.

Can an intercom be installed?
Yes. The Aviator Ace 2 is prepared for Airoh AWC4 and AWC2 intercoms, which are sold separately and not included in the box. This is useful for group off-road riding and enduro outings when you need to communicate with the rider in front or behind without stopping.

What safety technologies does it have?
Airoh includes ASN and AEFR technologies. AEFR allows for the quick removal of cheek pads in an emergency, so first responders can remove the helmet with less neck movement. It features a double D-ring closure and a hypoallergenic inner lining.

Who is it perfect for

The Aviator Ace 2 is designed for those who ride off-road, in motocross and enduro, but also for those who alternate between dirt and road: lightweight composite carbon shell and intercom compatibility. The Glossy White/Black/Red Shield color scheme features glossy white and black with red inserts.
