Who is it perfect for?

For those who bought a used CBF with the racks already installed but missing the hardware, or for those who disassembled the rack in the workshop and found themselves missing a few pieces. These are 2004-2012 motorcycles: after twenty years, hardware gets lost, rusted, or left in the garage of the person who sold it. Buying an entire new rack for a few fasteners makes no sense, and this is the code the manufacturer provided specifically to avoid that.

Which motorcycles is it used on?
On the Honda CBF 500 and CBF 600 S/N from 2004 to 2012 and on the CBF 1000, including ABS versions, from 2006 to 2009. These are the three motorcycles for which the Kappa price list specifies the KL174 rack, and this kit belongs to that rack. Check your registration documents before ordering.

Does it also work for the Givi PL174 rack?
Yes. KL174 and PL174 are the same Monokey side case rack under two different brands of the Givi S.p.A. group, and the replacement code is indeed the one for the 174 family. This applies even if your CBF has the Givi-branded rack installed.

Is it also needed for the KLX174 or KZ260?
No. The KLX174 is a different rack, designed for K33 Monokey Side cases, and the KZ260 is the rear mounting plate for the top case: they have their own specific hardware. This kit only concerns the KL174 side case rack and its Givi PL174 twin.

Why is it listed as discontinued?
Because the 174PLKITR code does not appear in the 2025 and 2026 Kappa price lists, both of which we have checked, nor on the official website. What we have available is residual stock from our warehouse: once that is gone, it cannot be reordered. The KL174 rack, however, is still in the catalog.
