Yes. In Bluetooth mode, the ERA 1X connects up to 4 motorcycles and is compatible with Sena, Cardo, and Midland. In Mesh 3.0, it also communicates with the Sena mesh network. With Wave Intercom via the app, you can speak with a group of unlimited users at any distance using your smartphone's data connection.
How long does the battery last and how long does it take to charge?
Interphone claims up to 25 hours of talk time in Bluetooth and up to 20 hours in Mesh. A full charge takes 1.5 hours, but 20 minutes is enough to get 5.5 hours in Bluetooth or 4 hours in Mesh. The motion sensor turns the intercom on and off automatically, preserving battery life when idle.
How is the audio while riding?
The speakers are 40 mm second-generation Harman Kardon units with high-resolution audio and an equalizer. The microphone uses AI-based noise cancellation, automatically balances voice volume, and filters out wind and engine noise, ensuring clear conversation even at high speeds.
Can it be used in the rain?
Yes: the ERA 1X has a certified IP67 rating, making it resistant to rain and dust, so it can be left mounted on the helmet even in bad weather. Its compact profile (46 × 86 × 22 mm, 50 g) reduces wind noise and keeps weight on the helmet low. It charges via the USB cable included in the box.
How is it mounted on the helmet?
The box includes an adhesive bracket and a clamp bracket, as well as the Harman Kardon audio kit to be installed inside the helmet. You choose the bracket that best fits your helmet and secure the unit to the side of the shell. There are also three front covers (white, black, and silver) to change its look.
