Important notes
- The top case alone is not enough: you need the specific plate + frame for your motorcycle model (you can find them in the technical specifications).
- Monolock ≠ Monokey: Monolock has a small plate for top cases up to ~48 liters and ~10 kg; Monokey has a reinforced plate for heavy cases and top cases up to ~55 liters.
- ECE 22.06 helmets are the European homologation in force since 2024: verify that the chosen model is 22.06 and not the old 22.05.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Kappa top case compatible with the Givi mount?
Yes. Kappa and Givi share the two standard Monolock and Monokey systems: a Kappa Monolock top case attaches to a Givi Monolock plate and vice versa, as does Monokey with Monokey. Be careful not to confuse the two systems (Monolock does not fit on a Monokey plate).
Do I only need the top case or something else to mount it?
You need three parts: the top case, the mounting plate (Monolock or Monokey, universal or reinforced), and the specific frame for your motorcycle/scooter. In the product sheets, you will find compatible plates and frames; if in doubt, contact us with your model and year.
Are Kappa helmets ECE 22.06 approved?
Yes, all Kappa helmets currently in the catalog are ECE 22.06 approved, the European regulation that came into force in January 2024 with stricter tests (oblique impact, cut in multiple shell areas). Always check the label sewn on the strap before ordering, where homologation and size are indicated.
