The Cardo ACC00009 2nd Helmet Kit (Freecom/Spirit JBL 2nd Helmet Kit) is designed to allow you to use your Cardo Freecom or Spirit intercom on an additional helmet. Which intercoms is it compatible with?
Cardo presents this as the 2nd helmet kit for Freecom and Spirit: this is the product name on the packaging and the official page. For Packtalk ranges, Cardo provides dedicated 2nd helmet kits. If you are not sure about your device series, contact us for further information, indicating the code printed on the unit.
What is in the box?
Cardo includes 40mm Sound by JBL speakers, one boom microphone, one wired microphone, and both clamp and adhesive mounting options. The official photos also show the cradle that the unit attaches to. The intercom is not included: you keep the one you already have.
Why are there two microphones?
Cardo provides interchangeable boom and wired microphones so you can install the most suitable one for your helmet's shape on the second helmet. The boom microphone places the capsule in front of your mouth even on helmets without a chin bar. If you aren't sure which one to choose for your helmet, contact us for further information, indicating the brand and model.
How do you mount it on the second helmet?
The base is attached to the helmet using either the clamp or the adhesive plate, depending on the shell. Then, the speakers are positioned in the ear pockets and the chosen microphone is connected. From that moment, the unit can be moved between helmets. If you have questions about your helmet, contact us for further information.
What is the difference from the ACC00008 kit?
Both Freecom and Spirit kits have the same setup: interchangeable microphones and clamp or adhesive mounting. The difference lies in the 40mm speakers: this ACC00009 kit includes Sound by JBL speakers with three audio profiles designed by JBL, while the ACC00008 includes HD speakers.
