Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between DMC and Bluetooth?
Bluetooth creates 1-to-1 chains: if one person leaves the group, the chain breaks. DMC is a dynamic mesh network: each intercom communicates with all others, so a rider dropping out doesn't interrupt the conversation. DMC is only available on Packtalks; on Freecoms, communication remains Bluetooth.
Should I buy the single or dual version?
The dual version contains two intercoms already paired for rider + passenger and costs less than two singles. If you are alone or already have an intercom and want to add another, get the single. On the product page, we always specify whether the package is single or dual.
Does Cardo work with Sena or other intercoms?
Partially: most intercoms communicate between different brands via standard Bluetooth (with some limitations). Optimal communication remains between devices of the same brand: using Cardo's DMC or Sena Mesh requires Cardo or Sena intercoms, respectively, on both sides.
