The Cardo ACC00008 2nd Helmet Kit (Freecom/Spirit 2nd Helmet Kit) allows you to use your Cardo Freecom or Spirit intercom on another helmet as well. What is in the box?
Cardo specifies 40 mm HD speakers, an interchangeable boom and corded microphone, and clamp or adhesive plate mounting options. The official photos also show the cradle that the unit attaches to. The intercom is not included: you keep the one you already have.
Why are there two microphones?
Cardo provides interchangeable microphones, both boom and corded, so you can install the one best suited for the shape of your second helmet. The boom microphone places the capsule in front of your mouth even if the helmet lacks a chin bar. How do I mount it on the second helmet?
The cradle attaches to the helmet with the clamp or the adhesive plate, depending on the shell. Then, the speakers are placed in the recesses near the ears, and the chosen microphone is connected. From that moment on, the unit can be moved from one helmet to the other. If you have any doubts about your helmet, contact us for further information.
What is the difference compared to the ACC00009 kit?
The two Freecom and Spirit kits have the same setup: interchangeable microphones and clamp or adhesive mounting. The 40 mm speakers differ: this ACC00008 features HD speakers, while the ACC00009 features Sound by JBL speakers. Choose based on the audio experience you want for your second helmet.
