How do I know it needs to be replaced?
The scooter has less acceleration, no longer reaches its previous speed, the engine revs without pushing, or you hear a whistle. Upon disassembly, the belt appears thinned, shiny, or cracked on the sides.
Do I also need to change the rollers?
