Shipping notice: truck drivers' strike in Italy
Updated 19/10/2026
Since 16 October, truck drivers protesting against high diesel prices have been blocking roads and ports in Southern Italy (Campania, Calabria, Sicily, Puglia, Basilicata), and the protest could spread to the rest of the country. The strike affects all our shipments, in Italy and abroad: Poste Italiane is currently not collecting parcels, while BRT and DHL are collecting as usual but deliveries may be delayed in some areas.
- Italy we ship with BRT and DHL · possible delivery delays
- European Union for now we ship with DHL only · possible delays
- Non-EU countries (customs) shipments temporarily suspended: they will leave as soon as Poste Italiane resumes collections
We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the certification of the Kappa KV60 Basic?
It is ECE 22.06 certified: the 2026 Kappa catalog lists it with the code 22R06 and the letter J, which indicates open-face helmets without a chin guard. It is a demi-jet designed for daily use on scooters and motorcycles, with a long visor that protects the face from wind and insects.
Does it have a sun visor?
Yes. The KV60 Basic has two visors: the external one, which is clear and scratch-resistant, and an internal smoke sun visor. If the sun visor gets scratched or breaks, Kappa lists it as a spare part under code Z1795FR, 75% smoke tinted and scratch-resistant. The sun visor is operated by a lever on the left side, next to the visor pivot.
How much does it weigh?
Kappa declares 1,250 grams, with a tolerance of 50 grams more or less depending on the size. This is the weight of the helmet only. The package you receive weighs approximately 1.61 kg, because the shipping box of 35 × 30 × 30 cm is added to the helmet weight.
How do I choose the size?
Measure the circumference of your head with a tape measure, passing it above your eyebrows and over the most prominent part of the back of the head. Kappa indicates one value per size: XS 54 cm, S 55, M 57, L 59, XL 60, and XXL 61. At the moment, we only have size S in stock; others can be ordered.
Can the liners be washed?
Yes. Kappa states the liners are removable and washable: they detach from the shell, can be washed, and are then reattached. If they wear out over the years, Kappa has complete replacement liners for every size, from XS to XXL, so you don't have to change the helmet just because the padding has worn down.
If the visor gets scratched, can I find a replacement?
Yes. Kappa carries the clear scratch-resistant visor Z1784TR, the smoke inner sun visor Z1795FR, the visor mechanism kit Z1813R, and the visor side plates Z1833R in their catalog. The model is in production, so parts can be ordered: just send us the code and we will provide timing and pricing.
