Yes. In Bluetooth, the ERA 1X connects to up to 4 motorcycles and is compatible with Sena, Cardo, and Midland. In Mesh 3.0, it also communicates with the Sena mesh network. How long does the battery last and how long does it take to charge?
Interphone claims up to 25 hours of talk time in Bluetooth and up to 20 hours in Mesh. A full charge takes 1.5 hours, but 20 minutes is enough for 5.5 hours in Bluetooth or 4 hours in Mesh. The motion sensor turns the intercom on and off automatically, so the battery doesn't drain while stationary.
How is the audio while riding?
The speakers are 40 mm second-generation Harman Kardon units with high-resolution audio and an equalizer. The microphone uses AI-powered noise cancellation, automatically balances voice volume, and ignores wind and engine noise, so the conversation remains clear even at high speeds.
Can it be used in the rain?
Yes: the ERA 1X has certified IP67 protection, so it resists rain and dust and can be left mounted on the helmet even in bad weather. The compact profile, 46 × 86 × 22 mm at 50 g, reduces wind noise and adds little weight to the helmet. It charges with the USB cable included in the box.
How is it mounted on the helmet?
The box includes an adhesive bracket and a clamp bracket, as well as the Harman Kardon audio kit to be installed inside the helmet. Choose the bracket best suited to your helmet, adhesive or clamp, and fix the unit to the side of the shell. There are also three front covers—white, black, and silver—to change its look.
