Frequently Asked Questions
What is its homologation?
The Matryx Wide is ECE 22.06 homologated, as stated by Airoh in the model's technical sheet. The homologation code and number can be found on the label sewn into the chin strap, which secures with the double D-ring system, the same used on track helmets.
Are the Pinlock and sun visor included?
Yes. The box contains the Pinlock 120 XLT lens for mounting inside the visor, and the helmet features an internal sun visor, also available as an original spare part. Inside the box, you will also find the dual wind deflector for the chin guard (summer and winter) and the removable nose guard.
What is the weight and material?
The shell is made of carbon fiber composite and is produced in two external sizes: the first for XS, S, and M; the second for L, XL, and XXL. The weight declared by Airoh starts at 1,500 grams, with a tolerance of ±50 g.
Which size should I choose?
Measure your head circumference one centimeter above the eyebrows. In the Airoh Matryx guide, XS is 53-54 cm, S is 55-56, M is 57-58, L is 59-60, XL is 61-62, and XXL is 63 cm. This listing includes all six sizes.
Can an intercom be installed?
Yes. The Matryx is prepared for Airoh AWC4 and AWC2 intercoms, which are sold separately and not included in the box. The liners are made of Coolmax fabric, which is removable, washable, and hypoallergenic, so they can be removed for hand washing and reassembled without any difficulty.
How does the visor work?
The visor has an extra-wide field of vision and the A3S, Airoh's automatic anti-fog system. It can be removed without tools thanks to the ATVR system, features a central locking system when closed, and is treated to be UV and scratch-resistant.
Who is it perfect for?
The Matryx is designed for those who use their motorcycle on the road, for touring or sporting trips, and want a complete full-face helmet: carbon shell in two sizes, wide visor with automatic anti-fog, sun visor, and intercom preparation. The Gloss Orange Wide graphic is gloss orange, grey, and black.
