What is Air Burst™ ventilation?
It's the system Macna uses to ventilate these pants: large mesh zones placed in non-critical areas of the garment, meaning where the fabric doesn't need to perform in case of a slide. In the photos, they are visible on the thighs, behind the knees, and on the calves.

Are they waterproof?
No. Macna classifies them for hot weather, and the mesh is open: they are designed for summer, not for rain. There is no declared waterproof membrane.

What does "Class A" of the EN 17092 standard mean?
EN 17092 is the European standard for protective motorcycle clothing and includes five classes: AAA, AA, A, B, and C. Class A is the third and defines garments designed for urban and daily use, with mandatory impact protectors in the designated areas. Macna declares the Nembar Air as EN 17092 Class A approved.

What protectors are included in the price?
Included are R.I.S.C.™ FX knee protectors, CE level 1 certified, which Macna describes as thin and flexible. Hip protectors are not included: the pants are prepared to receive them, and Macna sells them separately.

How do they attach to a jacket?
At the waist, there's a waistband with a metal closure that connects to a jacket equipped with a Belt Loop™. Alternatively, Macna offers the Backonnect™, sold separately, which allows the pants to be attached to the jacket's connection zipper.

What size should I get?
Sizes follow denim numbering, which does not correspond to body waist measurements: measure yourself and compare with the table above, given in centimeters and inches, and if you fall between two sizes, take the larger one. "Short" sizes have a shortened inseam of 76 cm (29.9 in) instead of 81 cm (31.9 in), but Macna publishes this measurement only from size 34 upwards: for our "30 Short" and "32 Short" sizes, it is not declared.

What's the difference between this and the "regular" Macna Nembar?
They are two distinct models. The Nembar (code 165.4027) is made of single-layer denim; the Nembar Air (165.4032) features Air Burst™ micro-mesh zones and is declared by Macna for hot weather. They have the same cargo cut, same Class A rating, and the same knee protectors.
