Yes. The KD2136S is the same windshield for X-Max 125, 300, and 400 from 2018 to 2022 (the X-Max 300 also from 2017). It is not compatible with models from 2023 onwards.
Does it offer more wind protection than the original?
No. It is a low and sporty windshield: it serves to streamline the front, not to increase protection. For that, you need the clear KD2136ST.
Do I need to buy mounting brackets separately?
