The Kappa KV35 Double Visor Basic Jet Helmet in Matte Black is a demi-jet helmet from the 2026 Kappa collection, approved under ECE 22.06, the current regulation. It features a double visor — an external anti-scratch visor plus a retractable internal smoked sun visor — an outer shell made in two sizes to prevent the helmet from looking too large on a small head, and through-flow ventilation with an upper air intake and a rear extractor. ⚠️ Important notes – read before ordering
- Measure your head before ordering. Use a tailor's tape measure above the eyebrows, one finger above the ears, at the widest point of the back of the head: that number in centimeters is your size. XS 54 · S 55 · M 57 · L 59 · XL 60 · XXL 61.
- If you are between two sizes, take the smaller one: the interior padding will settle by a few millimeters with use. If the fit remains loose, the cheek pads can be changed to a different size without replacing the helmet.
- The helmet must not rotate. With the strap closed, when moving your head, the skin of your forehead should move with the helmet.
- It's a demi-jet, not a full-face: it does not have a chin bar and does not protect the chin in case of a frontal fall.
- ECE 22.06 is the mandatory approval for newly introduced helmets today. 22.05 remains valid for use but is no longer marketable as new.

Does it have an internal sun visor?
Yes. The KV35 has a double visor: an external anti-scratch visor plus a retractable internal smoked sun visor, which disappears into the shell when not needed.
How is it ventilated?
With a through-flow: an openable and closable upper air intake lets air in at the forehead, and a rear extractor lets it out. In summer traffic, this makes the difference between keeping the helmet on and taking it off at a traffic light.
What does "double shell" mean?
It means that the outer shell is not a single size for all sizes: Kappa produces it in two sizes and combines them with the interior sizes. An XS is not an XXL with more padding inside — it's a smaller, lighter helmet with correct proportions.
