Frequently asked questions
Do motorcycle vibrations break smartphones?
Specifically, they can damage the OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer) of the camera in iPhones and some premium Android phones. High-frequency vibrations from 4-cylinder engines are the most dangerous. The solution is to use a mount with an integrated anti-vibration system, like the Interphone Crab 2 Pro.
Tanklock or handlebar: which is better?
Tanklock (on the fuel cap): more secure, less exposed to vibrations, but requires a specific flange for the motorcycle. Handlebar: simpler to install, universal, but more exposed to vibrations and bumps. Tanklock is preferable for long-term use; the handlebar for temporary solutions.
Is the mount suitable for all smartphones?
Almost always yes, as long as the phone's dimensions fall within those declared by the mount. Universal clamps cover from 4.7" to 7", which includes virtually all current smartphones. Check the maximum width (with cover, if present) on the mount's product sheet before ordering.
