Mounting and combinations

It mounts on the original headers or on the Arrow 71751MI stainless steel racing headers, which however do not carry the ECE mark: that configuration is for track use only.

For the same application, Arrow also offers the Works 71927PK titanium silencer, the Race-Tech 71926AK in aluminum and the Race-Tech 71926AKN in Dark aluminum. For the next generation of the S 1000 XR, there are the Indy Race EVO 77508PK and the Indy Race EVO 77508AKN.

Yes. The Arrow mounting scheme is marked ECE HOMOL., with EURO5, EC ECE and CARB marks at the top: installing it keeps the motorcycle legal for road use. Keep the documentation found in the package.

Which BMW does it fit?
On the S 1000 XR from 2020 to 2023, Arrow vehicle type 2X99. For the S 1000 XR 2024-2026, the application is different and the silencers are from the 77508 series.

Is a separate link pipe required?
No. The stainless steel link pipe is welded to the silencer and is part of the unit: it connects to the original headers without additional components.

How much does it weigh and how long is it?
Arrow declares 2.3 kg, 300 mm body length, 60 mm inlet diameter, and 50 mm outlet diameter.

What is the difference with the Works 71927PK?
The silencer design changes: the Race-Tech is more classic and voluminous, the Works has a squarer, more racing section. Both have a titanium body with a carbon end cap, and the homologation is the same.

What is the difference with the 71926AK and 71926AKN?
They are the same Race-Tech silencer with an aluminum body: natural on the 71926AK, Dark anodized on the 71926AKN. The 71926PK is the version with a titanium body.

Can I combine it with the 71751MI racing headers?
Yes, Arrow allows it on the same page. However, please note: racing headers do not carry the ECE mark, so that configuration is not road legal.

Do the lambda sensors need to be moved to the silencer?
No. Arrow states this silencer has no lambda sensor bung and no CO sensor bung: the sensors remain on the original system.
