The original Piaggio 1A016410 transmission belt is the CVT variator replacement part for the Group's latest generation 400cc models: Piaggio Beverly 400 HPE and BV 400, MP3 400, and Aprilia SR GT 400 E5+. It is a double-cogged V-belt — cogged on both the inner and outer sides — with colored identification markings on the side (as seen in the product photographs). This is the stock part, the same one installed at the factory.
✓ Key Strengths
- Original Piaggio Group spare part, code 1A016410 — not a third-party equivalent
- Double-cogged on both sides: flexes without overheating on large-diameter pulleys, with minimal elongation over time
- Covers eighteen trim levels across Beverly, BV, MP3, and Aprilia SR GT, from 2020 to the 2027 model years
- This is the correct code for HPE 400 Euro 5 and E5+ engines: no risk of getting the version for the previous generation
- New and packaged product, with the original identification band, shipped by an official Piaggio and Aprilia dealer

Piaggio does not publish the official dimensions for code 1A016410. The values above are derived from third-party equivalents declared for the same application (Malossi X K Belt 6115279: 25 x 13.6 x 1093 mm, 28° angle), and should therefore be read as indicative. The reference that counts is the part number: if 1A016410 is written on your scooter's belt, this is the correct replacement.
- Do not confuse the three generations of 400cc models. The 1A016410 is for HPE 400 engines from 2020 onwards. For older Beverly, X8, X9, MP3, Atlantic, and Scarabeo 400-500 models with the Master engine, you need the 832738; for the Beverly, MP3, and X10 350, you need the 83025R. These are three different codes and are not interchangeable, even if third-party catalogs suggest the same belt for multiple models.
- The belt is a wear-and-tear part. Piaggio prescribes periodic checks and replacement at the mileage indicated in the manual: a belt that breaks while riding will leave the vehicle stranded and can damage the crankcase.
- With the crankcase open, it is advisable to check the rollers, guides, and centrifugal clutch: they should be replaced during the same maintenance interval.
- The photos show the actual product; the identification band and colored markings may change depending on the production batch.

Who it is perfect for
For owners of a Beverly 400 HPE, BV 400, MP3 400, or Aprilia SR GT 400 who are performing transmission maintenance. These latest-generation 400cc models have a variator factory-tuned to this specific belt: reinstalling the original means regaining factory-standard power delivery, acceleration, and fuel consumption, without the whistling or jerky starts that an incorrect equivalent might cause. It is also the preferred choice for those who keep their maintenance logbook up to date, as the original part number is fully traceable.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often should the belt be changed on a 400 HPE?
The exact mileage is specified in your model's maintenance schedule found in your Piaggio or Aprilia handbook. In practice, on maxi-scooters, it is inspected at every service and replaced when the inspection calls for it or when the scheduled interval is reached.
How do I know if it's time to replace it?
Typical signs include «jerky» starts, a drop in top speed, a whistling sound during acceleration, and black dust in the crankcase. During inspection, look for transverse cracks between the cogs, fraying on the sides, and residual width.
My Beverly is a 350: is this suitable?
No. For the Beverly, MP3, and X10 350, the original part number is 83025R, which is available in our catalog. Some third-party catalogs suggest the same belt for both 350 and 400 HPE models, but Piaggio uses two distinct codes: always follow the part number.
Is it also suitable for the Aprilia SR GT 400?
Yes. The SR GT 400 E5+ uses the same HPE 400 engine as the Beverly, and the official catalog lists this code, including for Replica and EMEA/NAFTA versions.
Does the shipment depart from Italy?
Yes. We ship from Cercola, in the province of Naples, via tracked courier.
