It's the garment for the motorcyclist who loves the look and feel of leather, and who until now had to choose between that and waterproofing: here the GORE-TEX PRO membrane is inside the garment, so no rain gear is needed over it. Is it a leather or textile jacket?
It's leather. Dane uses what it calls GORE-TEX® leather: leather laminated to the GORE-TEX PRO membrane in a modular three-layer construction. It is therefore a waterproof leather jacket, with leather reinforcements on the shoulders and elbows, not a textile garment.
What does EN 17092 Class AA mean?
EN 17092 is the European standard for protective motorcycle clothing. Classes range from C, for garments that only hold protectors, up to AAA. Dane rates the Eventyr as Class AA, the level designed for demanding road and touring use, including long journeys.
What protectors are included?
Shoulders and elbows have R.I.S.C. CE level 2 protectors, with a double pocket that allows for adjustable positioning. The back and chest protectors are not included: there are dedicated pockets, designed for optional level 2 protectors.
Can it also be used in hot weather?
Dane states generous ventilation zones, ventilation zippers, and a removable Air Output panel, in addition to a detachable lining. However, it is still a leather jacket with a membrane: on hotter days, it is less airy than a summer mesh garment.
