What is the GORE-TEX membrane in this jacket?
GORE-TEX is the waterproof and breathable membrane that Dane uses in the Drakar. It keeps water out and allows body vapor to escape, so you don't end up wet from the inside after an hour on the highway. The outer shell is made of polyamide with Cordura AFT inserts.
What does EN 17092 Class A mean?
EN 17092 is the European standard for motorcycle protective clothing. Classes range from C, for garments that only hold protectors, up to AAA. Dane declares the Drakar as Class A, the level required for road use, with abrasion resistance verified according to the standard.
Is the back protector included?
No. The Drakar is pre-fitted: there is a dedicated compartment at the back to house the back protector, but the protector must be purchased separately. Shoulders and elbows have double protector pockets and the shoulders are reinforced, as declared by Dane.
