The Arrow 71730MI racing headers replace the entire original header assembly of the BMW F 900 R and BMW F 900 XR from 2020 to 2024, including A2 versions (Arrow vehicle type 4R90 · 4R90R). They are a 2-into-1 stainless steel manifold in a de-cat configuration: they eliminate the catalytic element and free up the exhaust flow. Arrow officially calls them Racing Collector. ⚠️ From 2025, a different code is needed. Arrow treats the F 900 R and F 900 XR from 2025 as a different application, with vehicle types MR90 and MR90R and their own codes. These headers cover only the years 2020-2024.
Mounting and combinations
Official Arrow instructions provide for removing the original silencer, unscrewing both oxygen sensors, removing the four nuts from the cylinder studs, and taking off the stock headers. The Arrow headers are fitted onto the studs, the 2:1 manifold is attached with the two supplied springs, the lambda sensors are re-screwed, and the cables are repositioned with the cable ties provided in the kit.
From here on, there are two paths, both documented by Arrow: reinstall the original silencer and tighten the clamp, or install the 71729MI central link pipe and an Arrow 71915 silencer, using the support bracket and rubber provided in the kit.

❓ Are the 71730MI headers homologated?
No. On the official Arrow page, they bear the Racing badge: they do not comply with any regulations, are not street legal, and can only be used on closed circuits. Being in a de-cat configuration, they also eliminate the catalytic converter, so with these headers installed, the motorcycle is not compliant for road use or inspection.
