The screw kit is not chosen by the motorcycle but by the frame it needs to secure. Every Kappa pannier rack, frame, or windshield has its own code — KL, KLR, KLX, TE, TST, KD, KN — and the corresponding kit mentions it in the title: if you have that code in front of you, look for it. For approximately three out of four kits, the compatible vehicle is also indicated, so the motorcycle filter on the page will find them; for the others, compatibility depends on the frame, not the model.
The two code families
KR and KRA kits have their own code and are listed as spare screws. Those named after the frame with the addition of KIT, KITK, or KITR are the fastening set for that specific item: in the title, you will always find which pannier rack, frame, windshield, or engine guard they belong to.
What exactly is a screw kit?
It is the set of screws, bolts, spacers, and bushings needed to mount an accessory on a motorcycle. It is not an accessory in itself: alone, it does nothing; it serves to secure an already purchased pannier rack, frame, windshield, or engine guard.
How do I know which kit is right for my motorcycle?

It depends on the item, and it's not something we make up: write us the frame code and we will check it in the Kappa catalog before you order. The kits on this page are sold separately, for those who have lost or damaged their screws.
Can I use bolts from a hardware store?
Each kit has a precise code because the lengths, diameters, and thicknesses of the spacers vary from frame to frame. By ordering by code, you are sure that the measurements are those specified by Kappa for that mounting, without having to estimate them.
