Frequently Asked Questions

Does a Givi top case attach to a motorcycle without an original luggage rack?
Yes. The Givi system requires: the plate (Monolock or Monokey), the motorcycle-specific frame, and the top case. The frame replaces the original luggage rack and attaches directly to the chassis with dedicated screws: the compatible motorcycle models are indicated in the frame's specifications.

Is the Monolock top case rain-resistant?
Yes. Givi Monolock and Monokey top cases have perimeter seals and a tight closure: the contents remain dry even in heavy rain. For GRT soft bags or Tanklock tank bags, check if they require the included rain cover.

What is the difference between Trekker Outback and V-Series?
The Trekker Outback is the anodized aluminum line designed for adventure and maxi-enduro (BMW GS, Africa Twin, KTM 890 Adv): robust, aesthetically rigorous, impact-resistant. The V-Series is made of polycarbonate: lighter and more economical, suitable for asphalt touring and daily use on naked bikes and mid-sized scooters.
