Frequently asked questions

Can it be used on chains?
That's not its job. MO-94 is a light, multi-purpose lubricant, not a chain lubricant: it won't withstand the pressures on a motorcycle chain and will wear off quickly. For chains, you need All-Weather, Dry, or Wet Chain Lube depending on the conditions of use.

Why can't it be used on brakes?
Because it's a lubricant: on the braking surface or tire tread, it reduces grip, which is dangerous. Muc-Off explicitly states this and recommends masking the discs before spraying. If it does get on them, they should be degreased with a dedicated brake cleaner before riding.

Does it really free seized parts?
It's the first function declared on the official data sheet: "free seized parts." As with all penetrating oils, for severely seized parts, it's best to spray, let it work, and repeat the application, rather than forcing it immediately with a wrench.
