Shipping notice: truck drivers' strike in Italy

Since 16 October, truck drivers protesting against high diesel prices have been blocking roads and ports in Southern Italy (Campania, Calabria, Sicily, Puglia, Basilicata), and the protest could spread to the rest of the country. The strike affects all our shipments, in Italy and abroad: Poste Italiane is currently not collecting parcels, while BRT and DHL are collecting as usual but deliveries may be delayed in some areas.

The Muc-Off Dry Weather Chain Lube is a chain lubricant for dry and dusty conditions. The "Dry formula" creates a dry, non-sticky protective layer that does not attract dirt: this is the difference you see after a thousand kilometers, with the chain remaining clean instead of turning into a black streak. It has high penetrating capabilities to reach every part of the link, drives out excess moisture, and inhibits rust and corrosion. The manufacturer declares it safe on frame, metal parts, plastics, rubber, paint, and carbon fiber. And yes: it smells like banana.

Why does the chain stay cleaner?
Because the Dry formula dries and leaves a non-sticky film: dust and sand have nothing to cling to. Muc-Off explicitly states this among its features, along with very low surface friction that improves transmission efficiency.
Is it suitable for rain?
It's not its ideal territory. It's formulated for dry conditions: in heavy rain, a dry film will be washed off faster than a hydrophobic one. For wet use, Muc-Off has the Wet Weather Chain Lube, and for mixed year-round use, the All-Weather.
Is it safe on paint and carbon?
Yes. The official datasheet lists the frame, metal parts, plastics, rubber, paint, and carbon fiber among the safe surfaces. However, it's still good practice to immediately remove overspray from the rim and avoid spraying towards the brake discs.
Why does it smell like banana?
